The White’s Cycle Centre Fun Bike
In 2011 White’s Cycle Centre decided to have some fun with cycling and designed and built a fun bike, for use at school fete’s, village fun days, charity events even down to a birthday party.
The bike was designed to NOT be ridden the conventional way of peddling forwards,
To move forwards you HAVE to peddle backwards.
Which defies all logic and creates a good few laughs among friends and spectators (including our staff).
The front wheel is very slightly out of round so as you move it goes up & down, the faster you go the worse it becomes.
The Fun Bike had it’s first outing at Stride For Life 2011 at Darent Valley Hospital where the Mayor Of Dartford Cllr Eddie Lampkin rode the fun bike around our time trial course. (Pictured left with the staff from Whites Cycle Centre)
